Ricky Dean Morgan Returns To His Roots
Ricky Dean Morgan (BSW Records) will be visiting Harlan, Kentucky to celebrate the release of his debut album, Country Country, and single, "Money Talks," with family, friends and fans. The visit will take place on Saturday, September 18 at Creech Chevrolet where Ricky will be on hand from 10:00AM to 2:00PM to sign autographs and talk to fans.
Ricky will be giving his album and a poster to the first 100 people who arrive at Creech Chevrolet and he will be acting as guest DJ and featured artist when WTUK does a live remote from the dealership and showcases Country Country. Ricky will also have his tour bus available to anyone who would like to take look inside.
Joe Nichols Profiled In All-New, Revamped Life Magazine
Reigning CMA Horizon Award winner Joe Nichols will be profiled in the October 15th issue of Life magazine. The venerated publication has recently reinvented itself, and the new incarnation of Life debuts this fall as a weekend supplemental section in newspapers around the country. The magazine's initial readership is expected to hit the 12 million mark. Nichols is featured in a photo essay on music's promising newcomers.
Just this weekend Nichols took a break from his busy summer tour schedule to spend an afternoon in the Chinatown section of Los Angeles for the Life photo shoot. George Canyon Wins Top New Artist Honors From CCMA
September 14, 2004 - George Canyon walked away from the Canadian Country Music Association Awards with the evening's top award for a new artist, The Chevy Trucks Rising Star Award. Although Canyon has yet to release his first major label album, he is already a household name to millions of country fans in both the US and his native Canada, thanks to a strong second-place finish earlier this year on the USA Networks/CMT Canada television show Nashville Star in which he was the only Canadian contestant. Jo Dee Messina Saves the Day at the Western Washington Fair
Nashville, TN, Sept. 16, 2004 .Country superstar, Jo Dee Messina, saved the day at the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup, Washington Wednesday night, Sept. 15, when she filled in on a moments notice for her friend, Kenny Rogers, who cancelled at the last minute due to minor medical complications. Jo Dee last performed at the Fair in 2001.
Jo Dee and her band, with only 24 hours notice, headed out to Washington state from Nashville. Rave reviews are pouring in about Jo Dees enthusiastic, high energy performance during which she interacted with the audience, brought kids up on stage and gave the crowd a special treat a taste of whats to come from her new studio album to be released on Curb Records sometime early 2005.
