Ray Price Has A Blast Recording With ‘Old Friend’ Willie Nelson

Ray Price recently finished recording several songs for his forth-coming album “My Old Friend,” due out later this fall with long-time friend Willie Nelson. Ray and Willie cut three songs together which include: “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain,” originally done by Roy Acuff; “Faded Love,” a song that landed on an album that went gold for both Ray and Willie in 1978; and the ever popular Waylon Jennings’ “Mama, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys.” On recording with Willie, Ray said, “After working with Willie for all these years, I still get a ‘big bang’ out of recording with him every time. He’s such a talented artist, and when we get together to collaborate musically, a lot of times we think alike.” Ray’s new album will be a compilation of songs made popular by some of his deceased friends and country legends of the past, including Roy Acuff, Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash, among others.

Brad Cotter Kicks Off National Red Cross Partnership With An Event In Nashville On Monday, Sept 27th

When Sony recording artist Brad Cotter BradCotter.com tours the south this fall, he will be doing it with more than a song in his heart. This native of Opelika, Alabama, turned Nashville Star sensation will be on a mission. In each of the cities on his tour schedule for the month, Cotter will join with local American Red Cross workers and volunteers to raise money for the American Red Cross disaster relief operations that provide for the urgent needs of disaster victims, such as emergency food, water, shelter and other basic necessities.

Cotter plans on utilizing his current national tour to raise awareness, funds, and donation items for the cause following the destructive hit it took on his home state, Alabama. “This is one thing I don’t want to look back on and say ‘I Meant To’,” Brad commented earlier today. Brad encourages his fans and peers to join in to raise money for the Red Cross. “I didn’t realize the Red Cross is truly desperate for resources. It’s one of those demands you expect someone else to fulfill. When you hear that they need supplies on the radio, you think to yourself ‘I should do that’ and then other things happen. I’ve decided to go against my ingrained approach and ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothin’ attitude and I’ve decided I want to lead the way.” Brad is inviting all friends and fans to bring non-perishable items to his upcoming shows in addition to challenging them to get involved.
