Lynn Anderson Participates In The Roundup For Autism Benefit In Dallas, Texas

Grammy Award Winner and DM recording artist Lynn Anderson, who recently released “The Bluegrass Sessions,” will be participating in the 16th Annual RoundUp for Autism benefit at the Mesquite Arena in Dallas, Texas this week, and local media are jumping at opportunities to speak with the very talented singer/songwriter. “I’m back this year cutting and competing against other artists to raise awareness and funds for the wonderful cause,” Lynn says. In addition to promoting her new project by appearing on Fox’s Good Day Dallas on Friday, September 24th, she will also be speaking with radio in the market about why this cause is so important to her, and has been for years. The Roundup for Autism was founded as a Celebrity Rodeo event designed to raise funds for the Autism Treatment Center (ATC). The Center is a private, nonprofit, corporation serving children and adults who are autistic and/or deaf & blind, multi-handicapped for the State of Texas and beyond.

Rhett Akins Gets Help From Jeff Carson

The Honky Tonk Tailgate Party announced today that tour mate Rhett Akins will miss the September 25th show in Cedar City, Utah due to a doctor ordered vocal rest. Daryle Singletary, Chad Brock, and David Kersh have ask former Tailgate Party member, Jeff Carson, to fill in for Rhett while he’s out sick. It is unknown at this time exactly how many tour dates Rhett will miss, but he reassures fans that he will make it up to them in the future.

Honors Roll In As Toby Keith Talks To Playboy

Singer/songwriter and chart-topping entertainer Toby Keith has plenty to talk about as his career continues on its meteoric trajectory, and he's telling it all in the storied Playboy Interview.

Keith, just nominated in the Male Vocalist and Best Country Album categories for this year's American Music Awards, recently sat for an interview with Playboy that will appear in the January issue, on newsstands December 21. He joins a small handful of household name country stars who have been featured in the Playboy Interview including Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and Garth Brooks. CMA Presents Connie B. Gay Award To Terri Clark

During the celebration for her No. 1 single "Girls Lie Too" at ASCAP today, CMA Associate Executive Director Tammy Genovese surprised Terri Clark with the presentation of the Connie B. Gay Award, one of the Country Music Association's most prestigious honors.

"I was so shocked," Clark said after receiving the engraved crystal award. "I didn't expect this at all. I do the things I do for CMA because they are fun things to do and I enjoy them. I never expected to get anything out of it, so it is a very surprising honor." More...
