Clay Walker Heads to Scotland for Dunhill Links Championship
Featuring some of the best golfers in the world, the Dunhill Links Championship will be played in Scotland October 7-10. RCA artist Clay Walker will be making his third trip to that country to compete in the $5 million pro-am tournament. This celebration of links golf is a 72-hole stroke play pro-am tournament played over three of the world's most spectacular links courses: the Old Course at St. Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarn. Walker and longtime friend actor Kevin Costner will be part of a foursome with pro (and frequent links companion) Steve Elkington and an as yet unnamed pro. Walker's friendship with Costner began years ago at another golf classic, the AT & T Pebble Beach National Pro Am, a tournament Walker has participated in for the past seven years. Walker performed at Costner's wedding in Aspen last weekend. The platinum recording artist has been indulging in his passion for golf since the early '90s and even while on a busy concert tour he finds time to golf, often with PGA pro pals Elkington and Glen Day.
Walker's current RCA release is A Few Questions.
