Sony Scene:

JESSI ALEXANDER:
Columbia recording artist Jessi Alexander will celebrate her birthday the way every talented artist does - on stage. Jessi joins Epic Nashville artist Jon Randall in Los Angeles on November 18, performing at the Hotel Cafe.

SHELLY FAIRCHILD:
New artists schedules are always busy with concerts, radio tours and media events. Columbia Records newcomer Shelly Fairchild has been so busy, she's only been home six days in the last three months. Aside from being the only country artist on the recent 2004 Rock the Vote Tour, the gutsy vocalist has opened shows across the country for artists such as Travis Tritt, Wynonna, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and on November 28, she'll add legendary rocker John Fogerty to that list when she opens for him at The Hard Rock Cafe's The Joint in Las Vegas. She'll return home to Nashville to make her Grand Ole Opry debut on December 3 and then heads to New York to perform at CBGBs on December 7.

BUDDY JEWELL:
Buddy Jewell and his family play tour guides for the Opry's Country Christmas this week. A crew will follow Buddy, his wife Tene and three children around the Opry properties as they view the extensive Christmas lights and decorations and take in the beautiful Opry Ice Show. The promotional piece will air during the December 4 "Opry Live" on GAC, the same night Buddy performs.

Buddy Jewell will be hosting a special celebrity auction on his website (www.buddyjewell.com) to help benefit his son Joshua's best friend Cameron who is suffering from Leukemia. Once items are gathered, we'll send a press release with details. More news on Montgomery Gentry, Trent Willmon & Gretchen Wilson

Toby Keith Sets AOL Record; Wins Two AMA's

Last night's American Music Awards recognized country singer/songwriter Toby Keith as the genre's Favorite Male Artist, and honored his most recent studio album Shock'N Y'all as Favorite Country Album. The acclaim should come as no surprise, however, as his Nov. 10 AOL concert event set a first-day record for the gargantuan online service.

Keith's AOL Music Live! concert special, the first such event from a country artist, was played more than 850,000 times in the first 24-hours it was available. His spectacular showing follows previous AOL Music Live! performances by Rod Stewart, Josh Groban, Avril Lavigne, Nelly, Usher and Good Charlotte among others.
