Clay Walker Named Honorary Ambassador for National Multiple Sclerosis Society's 2005 MS Cycling Series
Two years ago, multi-platinum country music star Clay Walker made the decision to step from the sidelines to share his personal eight-year experience with multiple sclerosis (MS). This week, you won't find Walker in the recording studio or touring the country with his band, because he will be attending the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's (NMSS) Leadership Conference and networking with some of the nation's leaders in the fight against MS. This is yet another effort by Walker to accomplish his two key objectives -- to raise funds to find a cure for the disease and to help people understand the importance of drug therapy in proactively managing MS.
Walker's appointment as Honorary Ambassador for the Society's 2005 MS Cycling Series will be announced at the conference. Along with his regular concert tour, Walker and band members will be participating in select MS150 bike tours across the country. In preparation for Walker's new role, he has been participating in training rides around the country speaking to people along the way about his experience with MS. More...
