'WCRS Live' was a very interesting industry event. It was a songwriter's forum, and was about as spontaneous as it could be. They had 5 songwriters onstage sitting on stools with their guitars. They discussed how some of their ideas came about for the songs that they wrote and did a round robin method of sharing a little of what they had done. You may be thinking, "songwriters, how boring…" But let me tell you, it was anything but boring. The audience spent almost as much time laughing as they did applauding.

Bob DiPiero, an incredibly talented writer, led the forum. Joining him were Craig Morgan, Jon Randall, Miranda Lambert added a feminine side and Tim Nichols rounded it out. Bob played the host and his humor had the audience in stitches. He had a story behind every one of his songs, and each story was funnier than the last one. Each of them, starting with Bob sang a song they had written. In some cases, they were also the artist who recorded the song, but not always. Craig shared one on the second round that showed his humorous side. It was a funny ditty, but not one on any albums as of yet. While not everyone thinks about the person behind the song, without that person, there would be no song. They went around the room three times before their allotted time ran out. And it was truly amazing to be around the talent that was onstage for this event. It was a real treat. I've included the songs they wrote/performed in the round robin order they were done in.
