Phil Vassar - Prayer of a Common Man

Phil Vassar originally started in Nashville as a songwriter, and had a slew of smash hits by artists like Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, and Alan Jackson. He landed a solo deal with Arista Nashville, and released his self-titled debut in 2000. Now, eight years later, he's on a new record label, and Prayer of a Common Man which is due to be released on April 22, 2008. The album is produced by Mark Wright (Gretchen Wilson, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Ann Womack).
The leadoff single is "Love is a Beautiful Thing," and people are really taken with it. It's currently in the Top 15 on the charts, and still moving up. Phil just finished up an acoustic tour with labelmate Jennifer Hanson this Spring, and will continue to tour to support the album.
