Release date - August 5, 2008
Jamey Johnson's first major label deal was with BNA Nashville, where he released The Dollar in 2006. After a rough time where he lost his record deal, and split and divorced his wife, he turned into a recluse. The thing that helped him through this difficult time was his writing. He co-wrote songs for George Strait, Trace Adkins, George Jones, and Joe Nichols. But, he still felt the need to sing, record, and perform. Luckily, Mercury Nashville saw the talent that is Jamey Johnson, and they signed him to their label. His debut album on the label will be out on August 5th.
The first single from the album, is the song "In Color." The young boy shows his grandfather some old black & white photos from his grandfather's youth, and the grandfather tells about the times, and how "you should have seen them in color."
