February 4, 2008 - Country sweetheart Carrie Underwood achieves a historic first, as her five-week No. 1 single, "Before He Cheats" becomes the first country song to achieve RIAA certification as a Double-Platinum Digital Single (recognizing two million purchased downloads). At the same time, her multi-award-winning "Jesus Take the Wheel" was recognized with Platinum Certification.
Both "Before He Cheats" and "Jesus Take the Wheel" are from Carrie's 6X Platinum debut album, Some Hearts.
