March 10, 2008 - Seven stars from music and television gathered in Nashville for two weeks, to compete to become Country Music's newest star on CMT's reality series Gone Country. The show's host, John Rich chose the winner, based on who he thought had the best chance at country radio, and he produced the winning artist's single. Julio Iglesias, Jr. emerged the victor in the contest, and his new song, "The Way I Want You" will be released to country radio on Monday, March 10, 2008.

"I really had no idea what to expect when I agreed to do Gone Country, and I really didn't expect to make such great friends with the cast and the songwriters I worked with," said an elated Iglesias, Jr. "The whole experience was amazing, especially trying to lasso horses and clean out horse stalls at Gretchen Wilson's house. John Rich was a lot tougher than I thought he would be, but he absolutely loves country music and respects its history. I'm not sure where all of this will take me, but I really hope country radio likes this single as much as we enjoyed writing and recording it."

Julio co-wrote his single, "The Way I Want You" Tammy Hyler and James Slater. He continues to write in Nashville, and fans can expect to see the star at upcoming country events.
