January 15, 2008 - Kenny Chesney had the 2nd biggest tour of 2007, second only to the Police's Reunion tour, with over 1 million fans attending for the 6th consecutive year. This year, Kenny has added more stadiums to his 2008 Poets & Pirates Tour. With sell-outs in 6 NFL Stadiums last year, this year, he will up the ante and add seven more stadiums than he did last year, with possibly more to come.
"It's amazing to me how much intimacy you can have in a place that big," Chesney marvels. "But there's something in those big shows you can't get anywhere else: a whole other kind of energy. You feel those fans all the way to the top, and there's nothing like it. And they come to have a big day with us, you can hear it when they sing 'Back Where I Come From' or 'Anything But Mine.' It's a blast, and I can't wait."
His 4th in as many years and, highly anticipated July 26th show at the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. sold out in less than 15 minutes. Joining him on many of the bills will be the multi-platinum superstar Keith Urban. Also appearing on several dates will be three-time Entertainers of the Year Brooks & Dunn, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar, platinum country rebels Big & Rich and newcomer Luke Bryan. Grammy-winning LeAnn Rimes and platinum progressive West Coast country star Gary Allan.
