March 6, 2008 - The Academy of Country Music announced its nominees on Tuesday, and Columbia Nashville artist Miranda Lambert was tied for the most nominations for a female with Taylor Swift. Lambert was nominated in the Female Vocalist, Single of the Year, for "Famous in a Small Town," and Album of the Year, for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
The awards were announced on The Early Show, where Miranda performed her latest single, "Gunpowder and Lead" for a live audience.
"I was hoping for one since I played this morning, but three is just amazing," said Lambert. "Album of the Year is the big one, and I'm so excited to be nominated. I poured my heart into this album, and the great response makes it that much better."
