Auditions are open to men and women, solo artists, duets and singing trios, ages 16 and over (as of Marcy 29, 2008), who think they have what it takes to become the next "Nashville Star." The winner will receive a recording contract with a major record label.
Nashville Star will air on NBC this year, and the two-hour season premiere is scheduled for this Summer, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the best and worst talent vying for a spot in this year's competition.
