Week of February 4, 2008

February 4, 2008 - In the big two-hour episode during week five, the teams must create a campaign to get people to donate their old "Croc" shoes to be recycled and made into new shoes to be distributed in impoverished communities worldwide. Team leaders are, for the women, Carol Alt, and for the men, Piers Morgan. The men decide to send Vincent Pastore, who was last week's team leader over to the women's team as a spy. It all gets very sticky when Vinnie has a change of heart, and confesses to Marilu Henner about the spy business, and says he will be a double agent and help out the ladies.

Even more tension mounts as Piers and Stephen stumble on Carol's shoot for their campaign, and Piers taunts Nely Galen, saying she should "share the love." Marilu now knows that Vinnie must sold them out to the men, and now doesn't trust him. He's then kicked off the women's team, and goes back to the men, and they don't want him either, so he has no team at all.

In the end, the judging found that the women's display was more appealing, but that it would be more costly to make on a large scale. They liked the men's display, but thought their campaign lacked something. The women finally win.

In the boardroom, Vinnie complains about Piers' role in ostracizing him from both teams, and says he wants to resign, but that if they would fire Piers instead, he would stay. Trump wasn't having any of that, and they accepted his resignation.

Next week the teams will have to create store front living displays for Vera Wang matresses by Serta. And, it looks like yet another contestant will ask to resign, as Stephen Baldwin cites the differences between himself and Piers Morgan, as his reason for wanting to go.

Celebrity Apprentice airs on NBC on Thursdays at 9:00 pm.
