January 28, 2008 - Taylor Swift has reached new sales milestones with the recent RIAA Digital Platinum certification (1 million downloads) of her single "Teardrops on my Guitar," and the RIAA Digital Gold certification (500,000 downloads) of her third single "Our Song."

Taylor joins an elite group of country stars with her new Digital Platinum status, as the only other country artists to ever achieve this level of certification are Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and the Dixie Chicks.

"Teardrops on My Guitar" reached No. 2 on Billboard's Country Songs charts last year, and is currently in the Top Ten of Billboard's mainstream Top 40 radio chart. The song was also iTunes No. 1 selling country single last year.

Taylor's recent six-week No. 1, "Our Song" is her third consecutive single to achieve Digital Gold status.

Just this week the editors of Us Weekly dubbed Taylor one of the "10 Most Powerful Girls in Hollywood." In the cover feature of the February 4th issue, on newsstands now, the magazine profiles young stars who "are taking over Hollywood the old-fashioned way: with dedication, hard work and loads of talent." Taylor joins Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and Oscar nominee Ellen Page, among others.
