Top 10 Country Singles
As I predicted last week, Dierks Bentley's "Settle For A Slow Down" is No. 1 this week, while Jason Aldean's "Why" dropped to the No. 2 spot, and LeAnn Rimes remains at No. 3 with "Something's Gotta Give." The "Summertime" is the right time for Kenny Chesney, because his song jumped four spots to No. 4. Two spots higher than last week, Phil Vassar's "The Last Day Of My Life" is at No. 5, Tim McGraw's "When The Stars Go Blue" dropped a spot to No. 6, and Jack Ingram dropped three spots to No. 7 with "Wherever You Are." Brad Paisley leaps into the Top 10 with "The World" at No. 8 and Joe Nichols also enters the Top 10 with No. 9's "Size Matters (Someday)." Rounding out the Top 10 for the second week is "Who Says You Can't Go Home," by Bon Jovi w/ Jennifer Nettles. I predict that Dierks will have a second week at No. 1, but not without a fight from LeAnn Rimes and Kenny Chesney.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Five songs are moving up at the speed of light this week. No. 33's "Swing" by Trace Adkins, No. 52's "Tennessee Girl" by Sammy Kershaw, and No. 53's "Gone Either Way" by Ray Scott jumped a total of five spots. Carolina Rain's "Get Outta My Way" jumped seven spots to No. 48 and Darryl Worley's latest, "Nothin' But A Love Thang" jumped a total of eight spots to land at No. 51.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Three new songs hit the air waves and they are as follows: Van Zant at No. 60 with "Things I Miss The Most," Brooks & Dunn with Sheryl Crowe's No. 59 song, "Building Bridges," and Shedaisy's "In Terms Of Love" in the No. 47 slot.
