Top 10 Country Singles
For the second week in a row, Rodney Atkins' "If You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)" sits at the No. 1 spot on the charts while Toby Keith "hangs in there" at No. 2 with "A Little Too Late." The Wreckers moved up two spots to land their tune, "Leave The Pieces," at No. 3. Gary Allan's "Life Ain't Always Beautiful" made a great advance of four places to hit No. 4, Brad Paisley's at No. 5 with "The World," Kenny Chesney's "Summertime" remains at No. 6, and Rascal Flatts also hang on to last week's spot (No. 7) with "Me And My Gang." Steve Holy moves up the charts, landing "Brand New Girlfriend" at No. 8. Little Big Town's "Bring It On Home" stays at No. 9, and No. 10 is Carrie Underwood's "Don't Forget To Remember Me," which dropped seven spots. Chances are, Rodney Atkins will have a third week at No. 1. That is, unless The Wreckers gain some more ground.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
There are three songs moving up at the speed of light this week: Sugarland's "Want To" jumped six spots to No. 30, Carrie Underwood also jumped six to land "Before He Cheats" at No. 38, and The Derailers made the biggest jump. Their song, "Why Me," advanced eight spots to land on No. 49.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
It's a busy week on the charts with a total of six songs making their debut. Joe Nichols' "I'll Wait For You" is No. 58, Phil Vassar's "The Woman In My Life" is No. 56, and "Little Bit Of Life" (by Craig Morgan) is No. 55. LeAnn Rimes' new song, "Some People," debuts at No. 50, while Kenny Chesney's "You Save Me" made it to No. 47. The highest debut is Lee Ann Womack's No. 46 song, "Finding My Way Back Home."
Top 10 Country Album Charts
The first two entries on the album charts are the same as last week: No. 1 is Rascal Flatts' Me And My Gang and the Dixie Chicks are at No. 2 with Taking The Long Way. Tim McGraw managed to work a little magic to get Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits, Vol. 2: Reflected to No. 3 from last week's No. 6 position. Johnny Cash's American V: A Hundred Highways dropped to No. 4, Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts is still at No. 5, and Josh Turner's Your Man advances a single spot to No. 6. Dropping three spots to No. 7 is Rodney Atkins' If You're Going Through Hell, The Wreckers' Stand Still, Look Pretty hit No. 8, and Toby Keith moved back into the Top 10 with No. 9's White Trash With Money. At No. 10 is Alan Jackson's Precious Memories.
