Top 10 Country Singles
As I predicted, Steve Holy celebrates his second No. 1 this week thanks to "Brand New Girlfriend." George Strait's latest ("Give It Away") slid into No. 2 and stands ready to strike at any moment. The Wreckers' former No. 1, "Leave The Pieces," drops to No. 3, Josh Turner's "Would You Go With Me" jumps three spots to No. 4, and Brooks & Dunn (w/ Sheryl Crow and Vince Gill) advanced a single spot to No. 5 with "Building Bridges." "If You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)" by Rodney Atkins is No. 6 and No. 7 is Little Big Town's "Bring It On Home." Faith Hill stays at No. 8 with "Sunshine and Summertime." Heartland also stays in the same spot as last week. "I Loved Her First" is in the No. 9 position. Rounding out the Top 10 is Dierks Bentley's "Every Mile A Memory." I hope Steve Holy enjoyed his time at No. 1, because I'm predicting George Strait will take over next week.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
There are three high-speed chart jumpers this week: Keith Anderson's "Podunk" advanced seven spots to land on No. 53, while the other two songs both jumped a total of eight spots. LeAnn Rimes' "Some People" moved from No. 49 to No. 41 and Phil Vassar's "The Woman In My Life" went from No. 47 to No. 39.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Ashley Monroe is back on the charts, this time with a new single. "I Don't Want To" (with Ronnie Dunn) debuts at No. 60. Trace Adkins' "Ladies Love Country Boys" hit No. 59 and The Wreckers' "My, Oh My" was the highest debut at No. 56.
Top 10 Country Album Charts
It's no surprise Rascal Flatts' album, Me And My Gang, is No. 1 yet again. Your Man (by Josh Turner) is No. 2, Trace Adkins' Dangerous Man drops to No. 3, and Carrie Underwood can finally celebrate because her usually No. 5 album (Some Hearts) jumped to No. 4 this week. No. 5 is the Broken Bridges soundtrack. Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits, Vol. 2: Reflected stayed at No. 6 and The Wreckers' Stand Still, Look Pretty advanced to No. 7. The Dixie Chicks' Taking The Long Way is at No. 8, Alan Jackson's Precious Memories is No. 9, and No. 10 is Rodney Atkins' If You're Going Through Hell album.
What's New on the Album Charts This Week?
Johnny Cash's Country Legends debuted at No. 74, Billy Gilman's self-titled release hit No. 55, and Aaron Tippin's Now and Then was the hot shot release by debuting at No. 34.
