Top 10 Country Singles

For the second the week in a row Josh Turner's "Would You Go With Me" sits in the No. 1 position, while Heartland holds on to No. 2 with their song "I Loved Her First." Dierks Bentley advanced two spots to land "Every Mile A Memory" at No. 3. Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" also advances with a three spot jump to No. 4. No. 5 is occupied by Kenny Chesney's "You Save Me," No. 6 is George Strait's "Give It Away," "Once In A Lifetime" (by Keith Urban) dropped a single spot to No. 7. "Building Bridges," by Brooks & Dunn (with Sheryl Crow and Vince Gill), took a dive and landed four spots lower at No. 8. Sugarland moves into the Top 10 with No. 9's "Want To" and rounding out the Top 10 is Rascal Flatts' "My Wish." With Josh Turner losing spins I will guess that Heartland will have next week's No. 1.

Moving Up at the Speed of Light
There are two songs moving at the speed of light this week: Rodney Atkins' "Watching You" (which advanced eight spots to No. 32) and the highest jumper was Faith Hill's "Stealing Kisses" jumping an amazing ten spots to No. 48.

The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Billy Currington makes a return to the charts with "Good Directions" at No. 60 and Kenny Rogers' "The Last Ten Years (Superman)" hit No. 59. No. 57 has the highest single debut this week and the honors go to "Startin' With Me" by Jake Owen.

Top 10 Country Album Charts
George Strait debuted his album, It Just Comes Natural, at No. 1, which means Alan Jackson's Like Red On A Rose was bumped to No. 2. Another impressive debut is Chris Young's self-titled album at No. 3. Rascal Flatts are at No. 4 with Me And My Gang, Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts remains at No. 5, Josh Turner stays at No. 6 with Your Man, and Kenny Chesney's LIVE: Live Those Songs Again drops to No. 7. Last Man Standing: The Duets is No. 8 and Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits, Vol. 2: Reflected is No. 9. Dangerous Man (by Trace Adkins) dropped three spots to land at No. 10.

What's New on the Album Charts This Week?
Three albums made their debut on this week's charts. Chris LeDoux's The Ultimate Collection at No. 33 was one of them. The other have already been mentioned: No. 3's self-titled by Chris Young and George Strait's It Just Comes Natural at No. 1.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for October 21, 2006.
