As predicted, Heartland has their first No. 1 song with "I Loved Her First," while Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" jumped two spots to land at No. 2. Dierks Bentley remains at No. 3 with "Every Mile A Memory" and last week's No. 1 ("Would You Go With Me" by Josh Turner) dropped to No. 4. Kenny Chesney stays put with No. 5's "You Save Me,". Up a single notch is Keith Urban's "Once In A Lifetime" at No. 6. Rascal Flatts have a wish granted as "My Wish" moved to spot No. 7. "Want To," by Sugarland, is No. 8, George Strait's "Give It Away" is No. 9, and No. 10 is Tim McGraw with "My Little Girl." I will go out on a limb and predict Dierks Bentley will be in the No. 1 spot next week.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Newcomer Jason Michael Carroll's single, "Alyssa Lies," scared off any other contenders for the highest jump accolade. The song jumped nine spots to No. 51.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Two new songs hit the air waves this week: No. 58's "I Keep Coming Back" by Josh Gracin and Pat Green's No. 57 tune "Dixie Lullaby."
Top 10 Country Album Charts
Jimmy Buffet's Take The Weather With You debuted at No. 1, meaning that George Strait's It Just Comes Natural was knocked down to No. 2. Heartland debuted their album, I Loved Her First, at No. 3 and Alan Jackson dropped to No. 4 with Like Red On A Rose. No. 5 finds Rascal Flatts' Me And My Gang and Carrie Underwood is No. 6 with Some Hearts. Josh Turner's Your Man album dropped a single spot to No. 7. Kenny Chesney's LIVE: Live Those Songs Again is No. 8, No. 9 is Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits, Vol. 2: Reflected, and No. 10 is Chris Young's self-titled album.
