Top 10 Country Singles
Dierks Bentley tops the charts this week with his newly-crowned No. 1 single, "Every Mile A Memory," while Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" is intimidating at No. 2. Heartland's "I Loved Her First," dropped two spots to No. 3. Rascal Flatts, however, advanced three spots landing their song "My Wish" at No. 4. Kenny Chesney is stuck at No. 5 with "You Save Me" and Keith Urban also stays put with No. 6's "Once In A Lifetime." Sugarland advanced a single spot with No. 7's "Want To," Josh Turner dropped four spots to No. 8 with "Would You Go With Me," and No. 9 is Tim McGraw's "My Little Girl." George Strait holds No. 10 with "Give It Away." Next week might just be Carrie Underwood's week. I predict she will take over the top spot next week.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
There are only two songs moving at a lightning fast pace on this week's chart: Jake Owen's "Startin' With Me" jumped eight spots to No. 48 and John Michael Carroll's "Alyssa Lies" leaped a whopping ten spots to land at No. 32.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Rockie Lynne is back on the charts with No. 60's "More," Jimmy Wayne's "That's All I'll Ever Need" debuted one better at No. 59, and Jimmy Buffett's "Bama Breeze" hit No. 58. The highest debut of the week is Gary Allan's No. 54 entry - "A Feelin' Like That."
Top 10 Country Album Charts
Dierks Bentley's Long Trip Alone album debuted at No. 1, George Strait stayed at No. 2 with It Just Comes Natural, and Jimmy Buffett dropped two spots to land at No. 3 with Take The Weather With You. Vince Gill's four-album set (These Days) debuted at No. 4 and No. 5 is Alan Jackson's Like Red On A Rose. Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts remains at No. 6 and Rascal Flatts' Me And My Gang drop to No. 7. No. 8 is Heartland's I Loved Her First, No. 9 is Josh Turner's Your Man, and No. 10 is Lonestar's Mountains.
What's New on the Album Charts This Week?
There are new albums all over the place this week. George Jones and Friends released God's Country at No. 58 and the Flicka soundtrack debuted at No. 27. At No. 25, Various Artists released She Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool: A Tribute To Barbara Mandrell. Already-mentioned debuts include the following: No. 10's Mountains by Lonestar, No. 4's These Days by Vince Gill, and Dierk's Bentley's No. 1 - Long Trip Alone.
