Top 10 Country Singles
Call me wrong for a second week, because Carrie Underwood 's "Before He Cheats" is still No. 1, while Rascal Flatts' "My Wish" is in the No. 2 position. The next five spots are exactly the same this week as they were last week: No. 3 is Sugarland with "Want To," No. 4 is "You Save Me" by Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw is No. 5 with "My Little Girl," No. 6 is Brad Paisley's "She's Everything," and Montgomery Gentry's "Some People Change" is No. 7. Advancing a single spot to No. 8 is George Strait's "It Just Comes Natural." No. 9 finds Rodney Atkins' "Watching You", marking jump of four spots. Lonestar is back in the Top 10 with No. 10's "Mountains." I'll predict Rascal Flatts as next week's No. 1, because I'd like to (somehow) justify being wrong the past two weeks. Hopefully, third time is a charm for me.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Tracy Lawrence jumped six spots to land "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" at No. 44, while Martina McBride's "Anyway" advanced six spots to land at No. 23. The highest jumper of the week is Keith Urban with No. 28's "Stupid Boy," which is now ten spots higher than it was last week.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
There are a total of four new songs this week: Gary Nichols' "I Can't Love You Anymore" at No. 60, Brad Paisley at No. 59 with "Santa Looked A Lot Like Daddy," Dean Martin and Martina McBride's "Baby, It's Cold Outside" at No. 58, and No. 57's "Wasted" by Carrie Underwood.
Top 10 Country Album Charts
Keith Urban's Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing continues to dominate the album charts, while Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts gained some ground and made it to No. 2. Sugarland's Enjoy the Ride dropped to No. 3. The next three albums report no change in rankings: Rascal Flatts' Me And My Gang is No. 4, George Strait is No. 5 with It Just Comes Natural, and Josh Turner is No. 6 with Your Man. Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits Vol 2: Reflectedadvanced four spots to land back into the Top 10 at No. 7. Time Well Wasted by Brad Paisley hit No. 8. Kellie Pickler's Small Town Girl dropped to No. 9. Rounding out the Top 10 is If You're Going Through Hell by Rodney Atkins.
What's New on the Album Charts This Week?
Kenny Rogers' Christmas Collection debuted at No. 68 and Darryl Worley's Here And Now at No. 35. The highest debuting album was Johnny Cash's The Legend Of Johnny Cash Vol. 2 at No. 28.
NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for December 09, 2006.
