Top 10 Country Singles
Carrie Underwood spends a second week at No. 1 this week with "Wasted." Moving up two spots is Rascal Flatts' "Stand," followed by Sugarland's "Settlin'" which also moves up two spots. Tim McGraw's "Last Dollar (Fly Away)" drops to No. 4 from the No. 2 spot last week. Kenny Chesney's "Beer in Mexico" drops two to No. 5, while Billy Currington's "Good Directions" navigates its way up three to No. 6 this week. Toby Keith's "High Maintenance Woman" moves up one to No. 7, while Martina McBride's "Anyway" drops two places to No. 8. I would be surprised if it continued to fall after she sang the song on the CMT Music Awards, and on American Idol last week. Alan Jackson advances one spot to No. 9, while Joe Nichols' "I'll Wait For You" drops to the No. 10 spot from No. 7 last week. I see Carrie riding high at No. 1 for a third week, but Rascal Flatts are waiting at the ready to take over that position.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill move up six places from No. 50 to No. 44, with "I Need You." Jason Michael Carroll's "Livin' Our Love Song" moves up five spots from No. 41 to No. 36 this week. Trace Adkins advances four places, from No. 52 to No. 48, with "I Wanna Feel Something."
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Keith Urban has the "Hot Shot Debut" distinction on Billboard's Country Songs chart, debuting at No. 53 with "I Told You So." Jack Ingram's "Measure of a Man" is right behind at No. 54, while Darryl Worley releases "Living in the Here and Now," which debuts at No. 59.
