Top 10 Country Singles
Billy Currington's reign at No. 1 is over this week, as Emerson Drive takes over the position with "Moments" and right on the Canadian group's heels is Brad Paisley's "Ticks" at No. 2. Billy Currington's "Good Directions" dropped two spots to No. 3. Tracy Lawrence's "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" sticks to No. 4, Alan Jackson advances one spot to No. 5 with "A Woman's Love," and Montgomery Gentry's "Lucky Man" is one better than last week at No. 6. Toby Keith finds his "High Maintenance Woman" at No. 7 and George Strait's No. 8 song, "Wrapped," experienced no change in this week's rankings. "Lost In This Moment" (Big & Rich) also remained in the same position this week, only in the No. 9 position. The Top 10 is rounded out with Keith Urban's "I Told You So." With Brad Paisley's "Ticks" gaining ground, I'm almost certain he'll be No. 1 next week.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Though two songs advanced six spots (Sugarland's "Everyday America" at No. 31 and the Reba McEntire / Kelly Clarkson duet "Because Of You" at No. 25), there were two artists doing their songs two better in the movement department. Dierks Bentley's "Free And Easy (Down The Road I Go)" moved from No. 55 to No. 47 and Tim McGraw also blazed a trail eight spots to No. 21 with "If You're Reading This."
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Three new songs hit the air waves this week: Kenny Chesney's "Flip-Flop Summer" at No. 60, LeAnn Rimes' "Nothin' Better To Do" at No. 55, and No. 48's "Proud Of The House We Built" by Brooks & Dunn.
