Top 10 Country Singles
Last week I said I was almost certain Brad Paisley would have the next No. 1 song, but I was wrong. In a surprise move, Tracy Lawrence's "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" jumped its way three-spots higher to No. 1. Emerson Drive slid into the No. 2 position with "Moments" and No. 3 is Brad Paisley with "Ticks." Montgomery Gentry's "Lucky Man" moved up to No. 4, Alan Jackson's "A Woman's Love" remains at No. 5, and George Strait is "Wrapped" around No. 6. No. 7 is occupied by Billy Currington's "Good Directions," which dropped four spots this week. Big & Rich advanced one spot to No. 8 with "Lost In This Moment" and Keith Urban's "I Told You So" did one better this week at No. 9. Jake Owen enters the Top 10 with No. 10's "Startin' With Me." If Tracy Lawrence's song keeps gaining ground the way it has been, I predict he'll have the No. 1 spot for a second week.
Moving Up at the Speed of Light
Brooks & Dunn make an impressive showing with their sixteen spot jumpin' "Proud Of The House We Built" (now at No. 32), but Kenny Chesney felt like stealing the spotlight. "Never Wanted Nothing More" blazed an impressive twenty spot path to land in the Top 20 at No. 17.
The Latest Tunes To Hit The Air Waves
Three songs hit the air waves for the first time and they are: Big & Rich's "You Shook Me All Night Long" at No. 59, Sara Evans' "As If" at No. 56, and No. 42's "Love Me If You Can" by Toby Keith.
