Dixie Chicks Photo Album

From Shelly Fabian, for About.com

The Dixie Chicks originally consisted of Emily Erwin and sister Martie Seidel with Laura Lynch and Robin Lynn Macy. They played old timey western music and dressed in western attire. As they evolved into a more contemporary sound, Macy and Lynch left, and Natalie Maines joined Emily and Martie as lead singer. They were signed to Sony, and released Wide Open Spaces in 1998, where the first single, "I Can Love You Better" rose to the Top 10, followed by "There's Your Trouble," and the title track which went all the way to No. 1. The album sold over four million copies in just a year, and was followed by Fly the following year, and Home in 2002. Other singles include "Cowboy Take Me Away," "Goodbye Earl," "Travelin' Soldier," and the Stevie Nicks cover, "Landslide." They released Top of the World Live in 2003, which as the title states was taped during their "Top of the World" tour.
