Guide Review - Various Artists - Patriotic Country
BMG Music partnered with Music for a Cause and USO to release 'Patriotic Country.' This is one of the best compilation CD's I've heard in a long time. Released on June 15, it debuted in the top 10 of both the Country and Internet Billboard charts. Some of the top names in country music came together for this project and the result is phenomenal.A small sampling of the many songs are: "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood, "God Bless America" by Martina McBride that has never before been released, "Where The Stars and Stripes and Eagles Fly" by Aaron Tippen, "I'm Already There" by Lonestar, "This Ain't No Rag, It's A Flag" by Charlie Daniels, "Back Where I Come From" by Kenny Chesney, "My Town" by Montgomery Gentry and "Riding With Private Malone" by David Ball . Each chosen song says something about being American and what it means.
With portions of the proceeds from the sale of this CD going to the USO, Active Duty Troops and also to families of fallen soldiers, this project is a win/win addition to your collection all the way around. Not only do you get great music, you are actively showing your support for our troops and their families.
