- Keith Urban - "Stupid Boy"
Keith Urban just keeps chugging along, moving up two spots from No. 18 to No. 16 this week with "Stupid Boy."
- Jack Ingram - "Lips of an Angel"
Actually, I have yet to hear Jack's latest single, which is the first single off his upcoming album, This Is It, due out next March. But, it's getting played a lot, making it our No. 2 song on this week's Top 10 Hot Country Songs chart. It stands at No. 29 this week, moving up from No. 33 last week.
- Martina McBride - "Anyway"
This song came out shortly after she debuted it on the CMA Awards show, and it's been in the Top 10 ever since it first made its appearance on the charts. It moves up one from No. 19 to No. 18 this week.
- Heartland - "Built to Last"
Everyone loved their debut single, and this one is catching fire as well. I was kind of surprised they didn't release an uptempo track for their second single, but this is a great song, and a worthy single. The song hasn't charted yet, but it's building up steam, and hopefully will make the charts next week. Things slow down a lot during the Christmas holidays, and pick up after the New Year.
- Gary Allan - "A Feelin' Like That"
Gary's "A Feelin' Like That" is the lead single from his upcoming Greatest Hits CD in February. The song moves up three spots this week from No. 28 to No. 25.
- Trace Adkins - "Ladies Love Country Boys
Although the song remains at No. 17 this week, it still is bulleted, and will keep moving up after the charts pick up after the first of the year.
- Darryl Worley - "I Just Came Back from the War"
Darryl's poignant song really touches a chord with a lot of people. Especially those that have friends and loved ones overseas in the military. The song moves up two spots from No. 25 to No. 23 this week.
- Little Big Town - "Good As Gone"
Little Big Town and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham's CMT Crossroads episode has been airing since the beginning of December, that that's probably part of the surge in popularity of "Good As Gone," which moves up two spots from No. 28 to No. 26 this week.
- Kellie Pickler - "Red High Heels"
After seeing her album, Small Town Girl debut at No. 1, Kellie has her first Top 20 single, as the song moves up three to No. 20 this week.
- The Wreckers - "My, Oh My"
Had it not been for the slowdown of songs during the holidays, I bet that "My, Oh My" would be in the Top 5 by now. It moves up one spot to No. 13 this week, and I expect it to enter the Top 10 soon.
