Trisha Yearwood - The Sweetest Gift

Trisha Yearwood has one of the best voices in country music. Her holiday release, entitled The Sweetest Gift is very traditional in style and arrangement. The songs are mostly contemporary Christmas songs, such as Keith Whitley's "There's a New Kid in Town," and Ernest Tubb's "Reindeer Boogie," and a few classic songs like "Let It Snow," "Away in a Manger" and "The Christmas Song." She smartly uses her sister Beth for harmony vocals on the lovely title track. This is one of my favorite holiday CDs.
