Carrie Underwood. She started the year winning the Best Country Female Vocal Performance Grammy. She went on to win the ACM Album of the Year, ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, and ACM Video of the Year for
"Before He Cheats." The video for the song also wins her the CMT Female Video of the Year Award, and the Video of the Year. At the CMA Awards,
"Before He Cheats" won Carrie the CMA Single of the Year Award, and she also picked up the CMA Female Vocalist Award. Then, she took home the American Music Award for Best Female Artist and Favorite Album, for
Some Hearts.
On the song front, Carrie saw "Wasted," and "So Small" top the Country charts for six weeks altogether. Her album Some Hearts topped the charts for nine weeks in 2007, and her sophomore release, Carnival Ride topped the charts for one week, and has sold over 2,000,000 copies, earning her a 2x Platinum certification.
Carrie wasn't part of a large tour in 2007. Instead, she participated in several large festivals, and played fair dates.
