Joey + Rory - 'The Life of a Song'

SugarhillMost people were introduced to Joey + Rory on CMT's
Can You Duet show. You may have seen their television ads for Overstock.com. Their debut single "Cheater, Cheater" is making its way up the charts, showing a great traditional sound that is seldom heard on country radio today. Even if you've never heard of them as artists, you've definitely heard Rory's songwriting. He's co-written hits for
Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis,
Blake Shelton ("Some Beach") and Jimmy Wayne ("I Will"). If you enjoy traditional sounding music, this album is one I highly recommend adding to your collection. Their harmonies are awesome, and they have a unique sound.
Compare PricesJohnny Cash - 'At Folsom Prison - Legacy Edition' CD/DVD

Legacy RecordingsAt Folsom Prison: Legacy Edition is a two album, one DVD collection that is a must-see if you're interested in everything related to
Johnny Cash's performance from January 13, 1968. Not only do you get BOTH of Johnny's shows, but you also get a superb documentary with behind-the-scenes information from people who were there that particular day.
Compare Prices Johnny Cash - 'Best of the Johnny Cash TV Show (1969-1971)'

Legacy RecordingsJohnny Cash had one of the most popular tv shows of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Not sticking to using only country acts, Johnny invited guests from many other genres to perform on his show. Some of the most notable included James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Derek and the Dominos. There is also a DVD companion to this collection called
Best of the Johnny Cash TV Show DVD.
Compare PricesKenny Chesney - 'Lucky Old Sun'

BNA NashvilleKenny Chesney is back with
Lucky Old Sun, which is another island-inspired album, similar to
Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair. There are duets with artists like Dave Matthews ("I'm Alive"), Willie Nelson ("That Lucky Old Sun (Just Rolls Around Heaven All Day)"), Mac McAnally ("Down the Road") and The Wailers, on the No. 1 "Everybody Wants to Go To Heaven." Although it is a stretch from the standard country music sound,
Lucky Old Sun opens up a whole new chapter to the Kenny Chesney story book.
Compare Prices Lady Antebellum - 'Lady Antebellum'

Capitol NashvilleIf you like your country rockin' with a perfect blend of soul,
Lady Antebellum has the recipe for a country album you'll really love. The group consists of Charles Kelly, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood. Similar to
Little Big Town, the group does not have one lead singer, but instead switch off who sings the lead. Their lead single "Love Don't Live Here" peaked at No. 3, and their second single shows promise of doing at least that well. And there are several gems to be had.
Compare PricesMontgomery Gentry - 'Back When I Knew It All'

Columbia NashvilleEddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry are back with one of their best albums to date. This album is a return to the rockin'
Montgomery Gentry music that was found on earlier albums, and if it doesn't get you moving then you're not listening with the right set of ears. The album includes a duet with
Toby Keith on the song "I Pick My Parties," as well as the recent No. 1 with the title cut.
Compare PricesSugarland - 'Love on the Inside'

Mercury NashvilleSugarland hit country music like a hurricane a few years ago and with the sound of this record, they are still a category five. Every record gets better as these two progress on their artistic journey. The first single
"All I Want to Do" topped the charts, and the second single
"Already Gone" seems desitined to do the same. One of my favorite tracks is the humorous "Steve Earle," which talks about the numerous wives he's had. Jennifer sings
"Steve Earle, Steve Earle, please write a song for me. I promise, I won't take a dime when it comes my time to leave."
Compare PricesTaylor Swift - 'Fearless'

Big Machine RecordsFearless is Taylor Swift's sophomore release, with more stories about boys, love, and some heartbreak. Includes the smash single "Love Story." The song has a Romeo and Juliet type of storyline, but with a happy ending.
Taylor also collaborates with Colbie Calliat on "Breathe" and John Rich (of Big & Rich on "The Way I Loved You."

Toby Keith - 'That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy'

Show Dog NashvilleToby Keith's 13th studio album is titled
That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy. With 11 tracks total, this has to be one of the most solid albums Toby has released. He's back on his game lyrically as well as musically. The album is bolstered by the popularity of his latest single, "She Never Cried in Front of Me," which topped the charts. This album is a must for any country fan's collection.
Compare PricesVarious Artists - Songs of the Year

Cracker Barrel Country StoreI love a good song. And Cracker Barrel has put together this disc, filled with not only good songs, but award-winning songs recorded by some of country music's biggest stars. Plus, the kicker is, it's not the original performer, so you get to hear someone else's take on a huge country hit. Great concept, and it totally works, with talent like
Trace Adkins,
Dierks Bentley, Willie Nelson, Jack Ingram,
George Jones,
Trisha Yearwood, Blake Shelton and many more.
