Country Music in the 2000s saw more of a country pop mixture, with artists like Shania Twain and Faith Hill, but you can always still find great traditional music around as well. I've combed through several resources of songs that were Top 20 or higher hits from 2000 on through 2008, and picked 20 of my favorites.
20. "Fall Into Me - Emerson Drive
In "Fall Into Me," Emerson Drive sings about a girl who has been hurt by a previous romance, and a guy that is trying to tell her to trust him and his love for her.
"I'll follow any road anywhere to get to you. I'll open up my soul, if that's what you need me to do. But now baby, it's your move. All you've got to do, is believe in love, just believe in us now."

13. "Love Story" - Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift sings of the perfect "Love Story," where the parents may not approve, but unlike Romeo & Juliet, this couple does end up with a happy ever after.

11. "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out - Chris Cagle
Chris Cagle sings a song of a man who is having a hard time with a relationship that ended badly. About all he can do is breathe in and out, and take each day at a time. But, he still hopes that maybe someday she will realize that she wants him back again, in "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out."
