There are new albums coming out all the time. We've picked several of the best country releases from February 2003.
If there is anything negative to say at all in regard to the CD, it's that the CD isn't a double CD with more of the songs from his concert. I'm sure he sang more than 16 songs from his vast catalog. That being said for those, like me, who have never been lucky enough to see George Strait in concert, you will truly enjoy this record.
Vince Gill has put out another incredible CD. His name can be found in the writing credits of each and every song. Some songs he co-wrote and others he wrote solo. The CD opens with the fun and up-beat lyrics of "Next Big Thing" and closes with a beautiful love song. Most of the songs in between are more or less the classic Vince Gill ballads that we know and love.
This is one fine tribute album that is sure to please the longtime Hank Jr. fan and those who may be new, like me mostly, to these songs. I really like the album and this makes me want to explore more of Hank Jr.s work.
When you add up all the songs, they make Jennifer Hansons debut record one cohesive record. Jennifer Hanson co-wrote eight of the songs while her husband, Mark Nesler, wrote the other three. If you like modern country that wears its influences on its sleeves, then pick up Jennifer Hansons fine debut record.
Jeannie Kendall has more than proven her abilities as a solo artist. All the songs are well chosen to match her voice. The back up from Union Station just adds to the quality of the overall finished product. This would make a great addition to anyone's music library.
This album won't be for everyone but if you were a fan of Kiss as a kid growing up in the '70's, or are simply just someone who remembers them for all their radio hits, then you may enjoy Hayseed Dixie's tribute to them. If you like bluegrass and don't mind sexual lyrical content, then you'll appreciate how the Hayseed Dixie players are able to translate heavy metal into steady bluegrass tunes.
