There are new albums coming out all the time. We've picked several of the best country album releases from March 2005
While some will say Jamie's a pop singer masquerading as a country singer, I don't find that to be the case. Sure her music is on the contemporary edge of the fence but as Martina McBride has proved, there's always room for talented vocalists in country music. "Brave" is an album that fully showcases that.
If you want an album with twelve outstanding tracks from a really great new artist, 'Kerosene' is for you. Produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke with Buddy Miller on background vocals you can't go wrong with this album.
After listening to "Put The O Back In Country" only one time, I knew Shooter Jennings had everything his dad, Waylon, had and more. Shooter takes his father's core sound to a new level by mixing in his own influences (mainly rock & roll) into an inviting version of country music.
This CD is one of the best I've listened to in a very long time. Every song was sung from the heart and invoked memories of Americana at its best. Craig has a very traditional sound, and his material fits his voice and personality like a glove. You won't find someone trying to fit with a popular 'niche' to achieve success. With Craig, he achieves success while remaining true to his love of the music he makes. This album is definitely a keeper.
Deana Carter has always had a relaxed groove to her music but with 'The Story Of My Life' she really kicks up that type of sound and mixes in some slower story songs. This album is an interesting look into where Deana Carter is at the point in her life.
It's hard to review gospel music without sounding sacrilegious. These songs come largely from the folk gospel hymnals of the Appalachians, with sacred tunes written by A.P. Carter, Bill Monroe, and Albert E. Brumley as well as many older hymns in the public domain; the music is likewise pure Appalachia, sweet Kentucky bluegrass provided by some of the greatest names in today's bluegrass, and all together it makes for some beautiful Sunday morning music.
If you like your country with a little rock, Trace Adkins will do you just fine with 'Songs About Me.' The album is filled with songs many fans can relate to.
The bottom line is that Rhonda Vincent is one of the best bluegrass singers and mandolin players in the business. If you want to be a witness to her talent, then buy 'Ragin' Live.' Not only can you buy a live CD, you can also view the concert that was held in Missouri.
This is a long awaited album from a artist that made a place in peoples hearts back in the 90's after making it as an overnight sensation after his victory on Star Search. This tall handsome and wonderfully talented singer has a lot to give in country music and shows us all that and more in this project. And what a great father!!!
It's nice to be reminded that the Bellamy Brothers are so very much more than the ACM/CMA's annual joke nomination so Brooks & Dunn aren't alone in the "Duet" category. While modern mainstream country has forgotten these talented boys, it's obvious that the artists themselves still appreciate their music, and the oldies stations still play their powerhouse country-rock hit, "Let Your Love Flow." This collection of new recordings of the old songs show they still pack a punch.
