Country Music as usual has a very small part of the televised portion of the Grammy Awards, however Faith Hill and Keith Urban both performed on the show, and each won a Grammy this year. Sugarland also performed, and was nominated for the general category of New Artist, but did not win. Below you'll find the albums and artists that won at the 2006 Grammy Awards.

1. Emmylou Harris - The Very Best of Emmylou Harris

Emmylou Harris won the Country Female Vocalist Grammy for her song "The Connection" off her album, "The Very Best of Emmylou Harris."

2. Keith Urban - Golden Road

Keith Urban won the Country Male Vocalist Grammy for his song "You'll Think of Me" off his album, "Golden Road." He also performed the song on the show.

3. Alison Krauss + Union Station - Lonely Runs Both Ways

Perennial favorites Alison Krauss + Union Station were the big winners, as far as country goes, winning three Grammys this year; for the song "Restless" as Best Country Duo or Group, for the song "Unionhouse Branch" as Best Country Instrumental, and for their album "Lonely Runs Both Ways" for Country Album of the Year. The other two songs are also from the same album.

4. Rascal Flatts - Feels Like Today

This was Rascal Flatts first nomination at the Grammy Awards, although the actual award goes to the songwriters. The Best Country Song was for "Bless the Broken Road" off the group's "Feels Like Today" album.

5. Del McCoury Band - The Company We Keep

The Del McCoury Band received the Bluegrass Album Grammy for their album, "The Company We Keep."
