The idea is to separate your CDs into groups. It will depend on your personal collection. You may have a lot of compilation albums and very few CDs from solo artists. Or maybe most of your CDs are from male artists with very few females. With my collection, I had about a third of my CDs from male artists, about a quarter from female artists and about a quarter from duos, and groups, and the remaining amount were compilations of various artist collections.

I started with one CD Spinner for all my male artists, then a second CD Spinner for the females and duos and groups albums. Then, a third CD Spinner for all my compilation albums and anything that doesn't fit in the first two groups. Each CD Spinner will hold 112 CDs.
